TREATMENT PLANT SHIFT SUPERINTENDENT
The
Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston is seeking an
experienced and licensed, Sewage Treatment Plant Superintendent
for its wastewater treatment plant. This position reports to the
Operations Manager and is responsible (but not limited to) for
the following duties on the assigned shift: overseeing the work
of all plant personnel; keeping the wastewater treatment plant
in compliance with all discharge permits; monitor process
control and maintain accurate records; troubleshoot process
problems ; see that the plant process equipment is being
properly operated and maintained; determine process control
parameters for the activated sludge, sludge digestion and other
processes; preparing reports; coordinating daily work with the
other Shift Superintendent; and assisting with developing the
annual plant budget.
Must have a
high school diploma; college degree or certified training
classes in same or related field a plus, but not necessary; must
have at least ten years experience in the operation and
maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, with extensive
knowledge in process control and mechanical functionality of
pumps, process equipment, valves and controls; and must have a
West Virginia Class IV Sewage Treatment Operators License.

Operator for its wastewater treatment plant. This position
reports to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent and is
responsible for overseeing the work of the shift operator’s and
keeping the wastewater treatment plant in compliance with all
discharge permits.
Must have a high school diploma;
college degree or certified training classes in same or related
field a plus, but not necessary; must have at least five years
experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater
treatment plants, with knowledge in process control and
mechanical functionality of pumps, process equipment, valves and
controls; and must have a West Virginia Class III Sewage
Treatment Operators License.
